Tin-plating process is applied extensively to protect both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. Tin being non-toxic, ductile and corrosion resistant is frequently used for the food processing industry.
Silver plating is being used since the 18th century for cheaper decorative household items, cutlery and silver plated tableware. It is used on a wide range of statues, idols artefacts and decorative items.
Gold electroplating has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, Offers exceptional solder ability and is a superb reflector of infrared radiation.
Best used as an undercoat for silver, gold and brass finish, Nickel plating is done on Zinc and Zinc die casts, Copper and CopperAlloys, Aluminium and Aluminium die castings with an undercoat of Copper.
Copper is a soft metal with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and provides good solderability. Copper is plated for use in industrial and decorative applications. It is the best undercoat for the better adhesion.
