Description Enjay UVK is based on a standard size of stainless steel cassette with UV tubes. The cassettes are equipped with a varying number of UV tubes depending on the air flow projected in the ventilation hood. The cassette / cartridges can be installed in the filter housing in all ventilation hoods on the market – both new and existing. Our standard UV products are dimensioned to sit upstream from VDI tested grease filters. Our UVK systems always have a double, compulsory overriding safety system. The safety system is designed both to prevent ozone from leaking out of the ventilation system and to protect people from looking directly at exposed UV tubes. Enjay UVK is mounted directly in the filter housing in the ventilation hood. Enjay provides standardized attachment brackets as an option. The integrated safety system is enabled by means of hoses. For correct deployment, please refer to the supplied installation instructions. The electrical connection is made to an earthed 1-phase 230 V, 10 A, which is to be connected via an external circuit breaker. Control system display should be located in a place where it is checked regularly by the service personnel. All UV tubes should be cleaned regularly. How often depends on the kitchen’s load. If you forget to clean the tubes, the UV system will issue a reminder, both on the screen and as a sound. The UV tubes are cleaned by wiping them with a damp cloth. When the tubes are cleaned regularly, normally no detergent is required. UV tubes have a lifespan of 12, 000 hours or 2 years, whichever occurs first. At that point they must be replaced.
