Drydocks World owns the Middle East largest Floating Crane. It is a shear leg design with a 2000 tons lifting capacity on 30m outreach and 70m elevation.
The department also employs block-setters and divers. Block setters are responsible for preparing and positioning dock blocks. The diving team comprises of experienced and well-trained personnel.
The department has comprehensive design, draughting and Project Engineering facilities and is staffed with qualified and experienced personnel and utilises the latest industry software allowing full design analysis and detailed engineering draughting.
Drydocks World Dubai has a large permanent workforce, which is more than what is traditionally employed by other yards. Ensuring that the workers are taken care of is a huge responsibility and this is addressed earnestly. The workforce is housed in modern air-conditioned accommodation with round-the-clock security. There are four food courts to cater to different nationalities, recreation facilities like a swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, laundry and a library.
