High Mast Lighting

High-mast lighting is a tall pole with lighting attached to the top pointing towards the ground, usually but not always used to light a highway or recreational field. It is used at sites requiring lighting over a large area.

The pole that the lighting is mounted on is generally at least 30 metres (98 ft) tall (under this height it is referred to as conventional lighting system), while the lighting consists of a luminaire ring surrounding the pole with one or several independent lighting fixtures mounted around it. Most units have four, six or eight lights in the ring, with ten, twelve and sixteen lights used in rarer instances. While most high-mast lights are high-pressure sodium, other types such as mercury vapor, metal halide and LED, have also been used. Some units have the lighting surrounded by a circular shield to prevent or reduce light pollution or light trespass from affecting neighbourhoods adjacent to the highway.

Armoured Cable LSZH

We supply a comprehensive range of Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cables for use in applications where smoke emission and toxic fumes could pose a risk to human health and essential equipments in the event of a fire. Unlike PVC cables and those made of other compounds which produce vast amounts of dense black smoke, toxic fumes and acid gas when exposed to fire, LSZH cables produce very low levels of smoke and toxic fume and no acid gases. They are therefore often specified indoors, especially in public areas, and in other hazardous environments and poorly ventilated areas. This includes cars, aircraft, railway carriages and ships. LSZH sheathed cables are commonly used across tunnels and underground rail networks.

Low Smoke Zero Halogen cables are designed to emit less toxic and corrosive gas during combustion and are ideal for areas of low ventilation. Our Low Smoke Zero Halogen Cabling Range are manufactured to a very high standard and meet all the industry standards

Screened Cables

Screen Cable is used to reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference (EMI) or electrical noise which can disrupt the transmission performance in some environments. This noise may be as a result of external interference from other electrical equipment or as a result of interference generated within the cable from adjacent pairs.

Metal foil or braid may be used as a screen material, each with different properties and the screen may apply to the overall cable and/or to individual pairs in the cable.

The choice of screening is dependent on the environment where the cables are used and the applications they are required to run. For example, unscreened cables may be perfectly suitable for standard office applications, whereas screened cables may be preferred in industrial application or where higher performance transmission is required, or where data reliability and maximum throughput is paramount.

electric way is a supplier of comprehensive range of Screen Cables

Cable Lugs

Cable lugs, also referred to as Cable terminal are utilized to securely connect or terminate cables to electrical devices, power or control panels, junction boxes, equipments and machineries. These lugs are often used to join power cables together. Cable Lugs intended to ensure the safety of both the appliances and human beings. These lugs can be uniquely engineered according to the clients preferences and requirements.

The functionality of a cable lug is one of the most safe and common method of cable termination. It is designed in a way that cable termination and removal for maintenance or repair is very simple, thus a cable lug is broadly used instead of direct fastening methods.

Copper lugs are utilized widely for numerous functionality; they are often used to decrease the diameter of a thick cable for it to be able to attach the cable to the other end that are of small diameters.

Electric Way supplies a comprehensive range of cable lugs (also referred to as crimp lugs) designed for terminating and connecting our low and medium voltage cables to equipments.

Copper cable lugs are used to terminate the ends of battery cable and welding cable so they can be connected to other electrical equipment such as starters, fuse blocks, distribution blocks, etc. Made from pure copper, cable lugs are highly conductive and can handle very high currents.

Copper lugs can be either crimped using a cable lug crimper or hammer style crimper, or they can be soldered using solder slugs or other electrical solder.

Different Types of Cable lugs are

  • Bimetallic Cable Lugs

  • copper cable lugs

  • Untinted copper cable lugs

  • Insulated cable lugs blade type

  • Insuated cable lugs Pin type

  • Insulated cable lugs fork type

  • Insulated cable lugs ring type

  • Tinted copper cable lugs.
