In response to the UAE’s commitment towards promoting an eco-friendly global environment, EnerPlastics Oxo-Biodegradable (OBD) additives offer an environmental friendly alternative to both plastic manufacturers and consumers. This sustainable solution will modify commodity plastics and ensure increased environmental responsibility. EnerPlastics OBD additives convert long-life polyolefin plastic bags to degrade after a pre-programed life span of complete mechanical integrity, is therefore an optimum approach to the environmental pollution and its consequences. The mechanism of polyethylene biodegradation known as Oxo-Biodegradation involved in two stages, these are: abiotic (photo or thermo) oxidation microbial biodegradation Initial abiotic oxidation is an important stage as it determines the rate of entire process. In this stage polyethylene is oxidized leading to reduction of its molecular weight significantly. Also hydroxyl (-OH), carbonyl (C=O) and carboxylic (-COOH) groups are introduced into polyethylene chain leading to further oxidation of polyethylene. The main factors that influence abiotic oxidation are heat and sunlight. They are crucial for both reduction of molecular weight and the production of low molecular weight compounds that can be assimilated easily by the microorganisms.
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is defined as that portion of the electromagnetic spectrum between x rays and visible light, i.e., between 40 and 400 nm. The sun is our primary natural source of UV radiation. Artificial sources include tanning booths, black lights, curing lamps, germicidal lamps, mercury vapor lamps, halogen lights, high-intensity discharge lamps, and fluorescent and incandescent sources. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun and other light sources such as fluorescent lighting is harmful to polymer properties. Finished plastic parts exposed to direct or indirect sunlight can display surface chalking as the polymer becomes oxidized, and can lose physical properties and become brittle to the point of no longer being fit for original use. UV light also accelerates the fading of plastic colorants EnerPlastics offers state of the art solutions to provide superior UV protection by giving unique formulations to suit requirements of end users according to application and climatic conditions of a particular location. EnerPlastics offers UV stabilizers for different applications Flexible packaging for outdoor applications Green house films Injection molded articles for outdoor use (eg. garden chairs, crates) Automotive compounds Parking Shades PC Transparent sheet
Our continual obsession with excellence reflects in the production of high quality white and black masterbatch as well. The titanium dioxide for the white masterbatch is sourced from the best sources of white pigments (titanium) known to the plastics industry. The quality embodies high-end applications like paper-coatings and UV-stable solutions. Black masterbatch are also subjected to highest testing standards. For expert assistance in choosing the right grade of white and black masterbatch for your specific application, please contact our Sales team. White EnerPlastics offers a vast range of White Masterbatch with different TiO2 concentrations that caters customer’s requirements in opacity, whiteness, processes and applications. Black EnerPlastics offers a vast range of Black Masterbatch with different Carbon Black concentrations that can accommodate customer’s requirements on black jetness process and applications.
EnerPlastics also provides solutions to help (Blow ) Plastic product’s moulders reduce cycle times, achieve uniformity in product weight, improve gloss and weather compatibility of their products. Another area pioneered by EnerPlastics is a range of Additives that can be widely used in the Film Industry, PP non-woven (Spun bond and melt blown) applications as well as in the PP geotextile and PE artificial grass applications. The list below helps the customers to select a suitable additive to meet their requirements. For further details on EnerPlastics Additive masterbatch, contact EP Sales. EnerPlastics offers a vast range of different kinds of additives that will enhance and reinforce polymers and masterbatch itself in whatever purpose it may serve during application process and in plastics products’ end usage.
A brilliant color conception in the customer’s mind turns into a reality in EnerPlastics state-of-the art laboratory. The color matching and formulation services carried out by EnerPlastics make it easier to blend custom colors to suit your needs. EnerPlastics laboratory is equipped with the world-class color matching and quality control facilities to match or develop color masterbatch in tune with the requirement of the customers. The display of various color shades in EnerPlastics’s film catalogue (film samples in color shade book) takes the customers through the standard color masterbatch offered by us. They have been produced using 20:1 letdown (5% in conventional LDPE film resin under commercial production conditions. Film thickness is 50 microns (2.0 mils). Since color and opacity performance can vary as a function of thickness, letdown, polymer selection and processing conditions, customers are recommended to test all products to determine their suitability for individual applications. Suitable carrier polymers are used to formulate masterbatch for Polyamide, PE, PP and PET film production. EnerPlastics is committed in helping the customers in designing the unique products to take them on the road to success.
