DPI Single-row deep groove ball bearingsare the most common type of rolling bearings and have the widest range of applications.
They are suitable for high speed applications and require minimum maintenance.
Their design allows them to accommodate axial loads in both directions in addition to radial loads even at high speeds.
They are available in DPI in open type bearings as well as steel shields or rubber seals fitted on one or both sides and come prelubricated with grease. These bearing are also available with snap rings on the periphery.
Pressed steel Cages are the most common type of cages used. For big deep groove ball bearings, sometimes machined brass cages are also used.
DPI Tapered roller bearingshave tapered inner and outer ring raceways between which tapered rollers are arranged in a cage assembly.
Rollers are conical guided by a back-face rib on the cone. Tapered Roller Bearings are capable of taking high radial loads and axial loads in one direction only. They are generally mounted in pairs.
The Cup and the cone assemblies are separable and can be mounted separately for ease of mounting.
Generally Pressed steel cages are used in Tapered Roller Bearings assembly.
The DPI standard range of single row tapered roller bearings covers the popular sizes of metric bearings manufactured to ISO 355 and inch bearings which follow the ANSI/ABMA standard.
