Magnetic stripe cards are capable of storing data by modifying the magnetism of tiny iron-based magnetic particles on a band of magnetic material on the card. There are two types of magnetic stripe cards Widely used in Dubai, Uae.They are HiCo (high coercivity) and LoCo (low coercivity).

LoCo stripes require a lesser amount of energy to record, thus making them cheaper to produce, but easier to erase by strong magnetic fields. Unlike LoCo Cards HiCo stripes are much harder to erase and more resistant. So recurrent used cards like a credit card can be a HiCo card for the safe side.
