Product Description This Duct type Optical Fiber Cable has been designed for long haul / backbone application. Our stranded loose tube design provides stable performance over a wide temperature range and is compatible with any telecommunication grade optical fiber. Duct type Fiber Optical Cables are designed for easy and economical installation.    The stranded loose tubes contain thixotropic jelly but the cable core is based on dry-block construction. Incorporation of Dry Water Block Technology eliminates the need for traditional jelly filled water blocking methods, thus providing efficient and craft-friendly cable installation. The thixotropic jelly is used to fill the buffer tubes to prevent water ingress. Length markings in meters for easy determination of cable length. Extra Strength cable can also be delivered with Peripheral Strength Members. Product Description Polythene insulated jelly filled, armored Telecommunication Cables (10 to 200 pairs with conductors’ dia of 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm and 0.9mm) are manufactured on Pakistan Telecommunication Company specifications LW-33P with reference to various international standards and specifications. Premier Cables offers a wide range of Telephone cables. Application This cable is usually used for direct buried applications for distribution in the exchange areas as local network and interexchange applications. It is a cable with solid polyethylene insulated unit twin jelly filled construction. Cable Construction Detail Construction Conductor:  Solid annealed copperith conductor sizes of 0.4 & 0.6mm. Insulation:  Colored high molecular weight solid High Density Polyethylene. Color Coding:  Cables are fully color coded in accordance with PIC even count color code. Twining/pairing:  Two colored insulated conductors are uniformly twisted together to form a pair. Varying lay length is designed to minimize the cross talk and capacitance unbalance. Stranding / Cabling:  Twisted pairs are assembled into unit of 25 pairs. When desired for lay-up reason, the units are divided into two or more sub-units, which are bind with durably colored polyethylene tapes to form a compact and circular cable. Filling Compound:  The water resistant filling compound is applied to the air space within the cable core. Core Covering:  A non-hygroscopic and dielectric Polyester Tape and Water Blocking Tape are applied helically having a suitable overlap. Flooding Compound:  Sufficient flooding compound is applied between the core wrap and shield. Moisture Barrier Inner Sheath:  An aluminum tape with co-polymer coating is applied over the cable core and then sheathed with black polyethylene compound. Jacket:  Black High Molecular weight low density polyethylene compound. Identification:  A plastic tape, duly marked with the manufacturers name, year of manufacture and cable size, if required, is placed under the core covering. Alternatively, thesse details may be printed on the outer jacket of cable.
