The FLIR Lepton is the most compact longwave infrared (LWIR) sensor available as an OEM product. It packs a resolution of 80 60 pixels into a camera body that is smaller than a dime. This revolutionary camera core is poised to equip a new generation of mobile and handheld devices, as well as small fixed-mount camera systems, with thermal imaging capabilities never seen before. Lepton contains a breakthrough lens fabricated in wafer form, along with a microbolometer focal plane array (FPA) and advanced thermal image processing. In order to support the lepton and make it easy to use, we have developed a breakout board to support the module along with example source code. camera module designed to interface easily into

native mobile-device interfaces and other consumer

electronics. It captures infrared radiation input in its

nominal response wavelength band (from 8 to 14

microns) and outputs a uniform thermal image.

Thermal sensitivity

The C12666MA C12880MA is an ultra-compact(Finger-tip size) spectrometer head developed based on MEMS and image sensor technologies. The adoption of a newly designed optical system has achieved a remarkably small size. In addition, the employment of hermetic packaging has improved humidity resistance. This product is suitable for integration into a variety of devices, such as integration into printers and hand-held color monitoring devices that require color management. It is also suitable for applications that collaborate with portable devices, such as smartphones and tablets.

The Hamamatsu C12880MA micro-spectrometer is an update to the popular C12666MA that we used to carry. The C12880MA has higher resolution and greater sensitivity and is recommended for future designs and experimentation. The PureThermal 1 FLIR Lepton Smart IO Module is a hackable thermal webcam module for the FLIR Lepton LWIR camera core. It ships pre-configured to operate as a plug-and-play UVC 1.0 USB thermal webcam that will work with standard webcam apps such as VLC Media Player on PC, Linux, Mac, and even Android. For developers and the more curious, it's reference firmware and hardware schematic are open-source for customized applications and alternate command, control, and video output channels such as analog. The FLIR Lepton camera core is required for operation but not included in the base unit price since many of our users already have Leptons. Get PT1 Now.
