Seed [pop!] is an interactive sculpture that uses sunlight to make popcorn atop a 10-foot tower. The popper is heated using three vacuum-controlled, four-foot diameter circular reflectors fabricated from aluminized mylar. It was commissioned for the 2010 Solar Decathlon. more...
