Mono-ammonium phosphate/MAP is also known as Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate(ADP),used as a high effective nitrogen and phosphate-two of the macronutrients fertilizer in agriculture. It is hygroscopic in air and easily soluble in water for direct fertigation and foliar application. Also used in npk compound fertilizers & BB fertilizer as a basic raw material. MAP does not contain chloride and are widely used for rice, wheat, corn, sorghum, cotton, fruits & vegetables.
The relative merits of different phosphorus fertilizers for crops can be easily misunderstood. Most confusion surrounds monoammonium phosphate (MAP) anddiammonium phosphate (DAP), especially when technical information is used to promote one of these fertilizers over the other.
Monoammonium phosphate (MAP) is a widely used source of phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N).* It's made of two constituents common in the fertilizer industry and contains the most phosphorus of any common solid fertilizer.
