It dramatically improves both operational and fugitive emission performance and efficiency. TODO-MATIC couplings reduce the possibility of human error in transfer operations and offer an unbeatable combination of technical, safety and performance features.
Designed specifically to minimize spillage and damage associated with drive/pull away incidents. Also allows rapid removal of the mobile tankage in emergency situations. The coupling automatically senses an excessive load, closes its valves and then permits disconnection. The coupling has exceptionally high flow rates / low pressure drop and operate independently of shut off safety systems and do not require an external power source. These couplings are easy to handle and do not require removal from the hose/loading arm for resetting or maintenance. These safety breakaways boast extremely quick closing time, with minimal loss of media.
The STRAUB system eliminates the need for any pipe end preparation, saving time and money. Assembly requires only a torque wrench to secure the pipe joint. The unique low profile design closes around the circumference of the pipe or tube, creating a leak tight seal without the need for lubricant. STRAUB couplings are used to join virtually any plain end pipe or tube including steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, FRP, PVC, CPVC, C900, CPP, concrete pipe, copper, and CuNi.
