Blast furnace slag is a by-product of the steel industry. This cementitious material provides specific characteristics to ready-mix concrete; among other properties, it improves workability, increases resistance to aggressive chemicals, and lowers heat of hydration.


GGBS is used to make durable concrete structures in combination with ordinaryportland cementand/or otherpozzolanicmaterials. GGBS usage is growing rapidlyfor its superiority in concrete durability, extending the lifespan of buildings.
