1 Products availableWe offer a complete product range of Laminated Glass, SINGLE GLASS TEMPERED and Double Glazed Glass
Laminated glass is a sandwich made of one piece of poly vinyl butyral between two or more glasses. The PVB sticks with the glasses, forms with chemical as well as mechanical bonds. When laminated with annealed glass, the layer maintains the geometric integrity of the pane in case of breakage. Also it gives acoustic insulation as well as gives protection against damage caused due to UV radiation because it cuts almost 99% of the UV radiation present in the sun light. A laminated glass is regarded as a safety glass in most of the standards. The PVB is always in the thickness of 0.38mm or the multiple of 0.38mm.

Glass is tempered by subjecting it to a heating and cooling treatment whereby high compressive stresses are set up at the surface with balancing tensile stresses in the centre. These balance stresses give tempered glass its increased strength. It can only break under extreme loads which bend the glass sufficiently to overcome the stresses or by severe impact with sharp objects which penetrate the surface so releasing the stress and fracturing the glass.
Tempered glass is up to five times stronger than ordinary glass of the same thickness, and can meet Architectural safety standards for impact resistance anywhere in the world. Because of its increased strength, tempered glass allows Architects and builders for greater scope in their use of glass in buildings.
In areas particular hazard where standards require the use of a safety glazing material, SGF tempered glass (SGF FT) provides an economical and proven solution. Tempered glass, if ever broken, disintegrates into small, relatively harmless pieces which are neither large enough nor sharp enough to cause serious injury. This break-safe characteristic is another important aspect of toughened safety.
Tempered glass can withstand extremes of heat and cold. At 250 degrees centigrade it can be sprayed with ice-cold water in remain intact. This resistance to serve temperatures differentials means that it can be used where annealed glass could be subject to breakage through thermals stress. For example, windows which for a large part of the day may be partly in shade and partly in direct sunshine.
Heat resistances combined with strength also allow its extensive use in furniture and domestic appliances. Wherever the benefits of ordinary glass need to be combined with extra strength, safety or heat resistance, SGF tempered glass can offer a complete and proven solution.
SGF offers insulating glass, using reflective glass, tinted glass, coloured films, ceramic frit patterns and Low-E coatings, filled either dehydrated air of argon to help designers achieve specific designs, transmission levels and solar control options.
Insulating Glass Unit Construction
SGFs insulating glass increases a windows thermal performance. It is constructed with two or more glass panes, separated by a desiccant-filled spacer and sealed with a silicone or polysulphide sealant.
The desiccant absorbs any moisture in the insulating glass unit.
The spacer has continuous corners with a single joint which gives additional protection against moisture infiltration.
Benefits:
Structural glazing is a system of bonding glass to the building frame with adhesive sealant in order to transfer negative and positive wind-loads to structural framing members utilizing recommended silicone sealant instead of the glass being captured by conventional glazing beads. This faade design concept, results in an all-glass allowing a completely flush appearance to the exterior of the building, with the glass supported off the internal aluminium framing structure by the silicone sealant.
