Loop handle bags are commonly used by the retailing industry, the bag is a 2 component design that allows for handle to be made thicker and with different color while allowing the main bag to be lower in thickness to save on purchasing cost.

Patch handle bags are used were contents of bags are expected to be heavy and handle area only reinforced so that rest of bags can maintain the lower thickness.This design uses less plastic material than thicker gauge bag but still provides similar strength as a heavy gauge bag.
