There are many different types of granulated sugar. Some of these are used in the food industry and professional bakers. The type of granulated sugar differs in crystal size.

Broken rice is a grade of rice consisting of grains broken in the milling process. On milling Oryza sativa, commonly known as Asian rice or paddy rice, produces around 50% whole rice then approximately 16% broken rice, 20% husk, 14% bran and meal.

Basmati is a variety of long, slender grain aromatic rice which is traditionally from Indian Subcontinent. As of 2014, India supplies 65 percent of the overseas basmati rice market, while Pakistan accounts for the rest, according to the state-run Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.

Brown rice is whole grain rice, with the outer hull removed; white rice is the same grain after further milling and polishing to remove the bran layer and germ. Brown rice has a mild, nutty flavor, and is chewier and more nutritious than white rice.

Indian Rice are divided into two types i.e. Basmati rice & non-basmati rice. Indian non- basmati rice comes in various kinds of shapes and sizes. Some are long and slender, some are short and thick, some are like beads and some may be round.

Parboiled rice (also called converted rice) is rice that has been partially boiled in the husk. The three basic steps of parboiling are soaking, steaming and drying.[1] These steps also make rice easier to process by hand, boost its nutritional profile and change its texture.

Rice that is also referred to as regular-milled or polished rice, the most common form of rice. The outer husk is removed and the layers of bran milled away until the grain is white.
