Ducted Air Handlers provide an efficient solution to cool and heat a larger zone or entire home. When combined with an multi-zone outdoor condensing unit and additional ductless indoor units, a unique Comfort is created, providing energy efficiency, air coverage, and control.
The unit can be fully disassembled and reassembled on-site, allowing it to easily fit into closets, attics, and numerous other tight spaces.
In this type of system, a pump circulates water or any other liquid through the system. There are coils that are mounted in either series or parallel to facilitate maximum amount of heat transfer. This type of system is beneficial in any season.
This means that if the outside air is warmer than the exhaust air, the exhaust air pre cools outside air. And if the outside air is cooler than the exhaust air, the exhaust air pre heats the outside air, making the system more and more energy efficient.
A thermal expansion valve (often abbreviated as TEV, TXV, or TX valve) is a component in refrigeration and air conditioning systems that controls the amount of refrigerant flow into the evaporator thereby controlling the superheating at the outlet of the evaporator. Thermal expansion valves are often referred to generically as metering devices.
There are two main types of thermal expansion valves: internally or externally equalized. The difference between externally and internally equalized valves is how the evaporator pressure affects the position of the needle. In internally equalized valves, the evaporator pressure against the diaphragm is the pressure at the inlet of the evaporator, whereas in externally equalized valves, the evaporator pressure against the diaphragm is the pressure at the outlet of the evaporator. Externally equalized thermostatic expansion valves compensate for any pressure drop through the evaporator.
Internally equalized valves can be used on single circuit evaporator coils having low pressure drop. Externally equalized valves must be used on multi-circuited evaporators with refrigerant distributors. Externally equalized TXVs can be used on all applications; however, an externally equalized TXV cannot be replaced with an internally equalized TXV.
Water jackets are kept at the sides of a reciprocating engine or a gas turbine to absorb the heat generated. This heat can be used for generating steam or for heating water or fuel oil.

The HVAC systems compressor generates heat by compressing refrigerant. This heat can be captured and used for heating domestic water. For this purpose a heat exchanger is placed in between the compressor and the condenser.
The water that is to be heated is circulated though this heat exchanger with the help of a pump whenever the HVAC system is on.
Condensing units are the perfect refrigerant components for all air conditioning applications that use central station air handling. They are designed for outdoor installation. Each unit includes hermetic scroll compressors, an air-cooled condenser, and a weather resistant microprocessor control center, all mounted on a formed steel base.
A scroll compressor (also called spiral compressor, scroll pump and scroll vacuum pump) is a device for compressing air or refrigerant. It is used in air conditioning equipment, as an automobile supercharger (where it is known as a scroll-type supercharger) and as a vacuum pump.
A scroll compressor operating in reverse is known as a scroll expander, and can be used to generate mechanical work from the expansion of a fluid, compressed air or gas. Many residential central heat pump and air conditioning systems and a few automotive air conditioning systems employ a scroll compressor instead of the more traditional rotary, reciprocating, and wobble-plate compressors.
A scroll compressor uses two interleaving scrolls to pump, compress or pressurize fluids such as liquids and gases. The vane geometry may be involute, Archimedean spiral, or hybrid curves.
Often, one of the scrolls is fixed, while the other orbits eccentrically without rotating, thereby trapping and pumping or compressing pockets of fluid between the scrolls. Another method for producing the compression motion is co-rotating the scrolls, in synchronous motion, but with offset centers of rotation. The relative motion is the same as if one were orbiting.
Another variation is with flexible (layflat) tubing where the archimedean spiral acts as a peristaltic pump, which operates on much the same principle as a toothpaste tube. They have casings filled with lubricant to prevent abrasion of the exterior of the pump tube and to aid in the dissipation of heat, and use reinforced tubes, often called hoses. This class of pump is often called a hose pumper.
