AISI 4130 steel stockholders and suppliers, delivering to the whole of the UK.AISI 4130 is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel specification. It is supplied as round bar commonly in the hardened and tempered condition with a hardness of 18-22 HRc. With a lower carbon content range AISI 4130 provides better weldability, at the expense of through thickness strength, than that of other oil and gas steel grades such as AISI 4140. AISI 4130 alloy steel is readily machineable in the supply condition of 18-22 HRc.
Form of Supply | Supreme Steel are AISI 4130 steel stockholders and suppliers of round bar. Diameters can be supplied as full bar lengths or cut blanks. AISI 4130 ground steel bar can be supplied, providing a high tensile alloy steel precision ground bar to tight tolerances. Contact our experienced sales team who will assist you with your AISI 4130 steel enquiry. |
Applications | AISI 4130 is widely used for a variety of applications in the oil and gas sector. Typical applications include components such as valve bodies, pumps and fittings. |
Forging | Preheat carefully, then raise temperature to 950-1200C for forging. Do not forge below 950C. |
Annealing | Heat the AISI 4130 slowly to 850C and allow enough time for the steel to be thoroughly heated. Cool slowly in the furnace to 480C followed by air cooling. |
Stress Relieving | When parts are heavily machined, ground or otherwise subject to cold work, stress relieving will be beneficial prior to any hardening. |
Hardening | AISI 4130 steel is usually supplied ready heat treated with a hardness of 18-22HRC. If further heat treatment is required annealed AISI 4130 should be heated slowly to 870-890C and after adequate soaking at this temperature quench in oil. Temper as soon as tools reach room temperature. |
Tempering | Heat carefully to a suitable temperature selected by reference to a tempering chart or table (usually between 400-570C, soak at the temperature for 2 hours per 25mm of ruling section, then all to cool in the air. Tempering between 250-375C is not advised as tempering within this range will seriously reduce the impact value.

EN8 steel stock holders and suppliers, delivering to the whole of the Middle East.EN8 is an unalloyed medium carbon steel grade with reasonable tensile strength. It is normally supplied in the cold drawn or as rolled condition. Tensile properties can vary but are usually between 500 - 800 N/mm. EN8 is widely used for applications which require better properties than mild steel but does not justify the costs of analloy steel. EN8 can be flame or induction hardened to produce a good surface hardness with moderate we arresistance. EN8 is available from stock in bar and can be cut to your requirements. We cut the plates to your required sizes on our band saw cutting machines.
Form of Supply | Supreme Steel are steel stockholders and suppliers of EN8 carbon steel in round, square, hex, plates and flat bar. EN8bar can be sawn cut to your required length. Steelbar can be supplied, providing a precision ground steel bar to tight tolerances.Contact our experienced sales team who will assist you with your EN8 medium carbon steel enquiry.
|
Applications | EN8 is widely used for many general engineering applications. Typical applications include shafts, studs, bolts, connecting rods, screws, rollers. |
Forging | Preheat the steel carefully, then raise temperature to 1050C for forging. Do not forge below 850C. After forging cool slowly, preferably in a furnace. |
Annealing | Heat slowly to 680 - 710C, soak well. Cool slowly in the furnace. |
Hardening | Heat the component slowly to 820 - 860C and allow it to be heated through. Quenchin oil or water. |
Tempering | Temper the EN8 component immediately after quenching whilst tools are still hand warm. Re-heat the EN8 component to the tempering temperature then soak for one hour per 25 millimetre of total thickness (2 hours minimum) Cool in air. For most applications tempering of EN8 will be between 550 -660C. |
Welding | We recommend you contact your welding consumables supplier who should provide you full assistance and information on welding EN8 steel. |
HeatTreatment | Heat treatment temperatures, including rate of heating, cooling and so aking times will vary due to factors such as the shape and size of each EN8 steel component. Other considerations during the heat treatment process include the type of furnace, quenching medium and work piece transfer facilities. Please consulty our heat treatment provider for full guidance on heat treatment of EN8 carbon steel. |
Certification | EN8 carbon steel is available with a cast and analysis certificate or a BSEN 102043. 1 mill certificate, please request when placing any orders. |
Quality Assured Supply | EN8 is supplied in accordance with our ISO 9001 : 2008 registration. |

P20 toolsteel stockholders and suppliers, delivering to the whole of the UK.Supreme Steel are stockholders and suppliers of P20 tool steel round bar, flat bar and plate. P20 is an alloy tool steel which offers good machineability even in the hardened and tempered (Brinell 300) condition. This steel gives an excellent polished finish and is one of the most widely accepted specifications for machine cut plastic moulds and casting dies. P20 is often supplied in the hardened and tempered condition ready for machining. In this condition it gives excellent wear resistance but if maximum surface hardness is required for compression moulding plastic dies or similar tools, the steel can be case hardened or nitrided. For better machinability a higher sulphur version P20Sis available.
Form of Supply | Diameters in P20 can be sawn to your required lengths as one offs or multiple cut pieces. Rectangular pieces can be sawn from flat bar or plate to your specific sizes.
|
Applications | P20 tool steel is ideally suited for the production of plastic moulds. Typical applications include die holders, zinc die casting dies, backers, bolsters and injection moulds. The versatility of P20 tool steel with its high tensile characteristics enables uses for a variety of other applications such as shafts, rails and wear strips |
Forging | Heat slowly, allowing sufficient time for the steel to become heated through. Begin forging at 1050C. Do not forge below 930C reheating if necessary. After forging, cool very slowly. |
Annealing | Heat uniformly to 770-790C. Soak well, cool slowly in the furnace. |
Hardening | Heat the steel uniformly to 820-840C until heated through. Quench in oil.

PP stockholders and suppliers, delivering throughout the Middle East. The lightest of all thermoplastics yet with mechanical capabilities beyond those of high density polyethylene, its primary use is in the chemical industry due to its alkaline / acid resistance. At ambient temperature it resists almost any kind of chemical attack and at temperatures close to 70C very few chemical agents can harm it. It is a highly recyclable plastic with very little impact on the environment. Higher hardness or wear resistance from abrasion can be achieved when it is reinforced with glass fiber
