Almost every lubricant used in plants today started off as just a base oil. The American Petroleum Institute (API) has categorized base oils into five categories (API 1509, Appendix E). The first three groups are refined from petroleum crude oil. Group IV base oils are full synthetic (polyalphaolefin) oils. Group V is for all other base oils not included in Groups I through IV. Before all the additives are added to the mixture, lubricating oils begin as one or more of these five API groups.

GROUP I

Group I base oils are classified as less than 90 percent saturates, greater than 0.03 percent sulfur and with a viscosity-index range of 80 to 120. The temperature range for these oils is from 32 to 150 degrees F. Group I base oils are solvent-refined, which is a simpler refining process. This is why they are the cheapest base oils on the market.

Rubber can be synthetic or natural and are used in the manufacturing of rubber products ranging from small rubber bands to huge vehicle tires.
Depending on the physical arrangement of the carbons atoms, Rubber processing oil are broadly classified in to three major groups namely;Paraffinic: these are used extensively in EPDM, Butyl rubbers.Naphthenic: Ideal for moulded articles, slippers, LPG tubes, floor tiles, etc. Aromatics: Mostly used to manufacture Tires, calendared and moulded sheets, Tread rubber etc

EP 2 GREASE

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

EP 2 GREASE is first generation Lithium soap base grease containing extreme pressure [EP] additives for enhanced load bearing capacity. These greases are formulated with high quality paraffinic base oils and are fortified with balanced oxidation and rust inhibitors, as also EP additives. EP 2 GREASE possesses excellent shear stability under heavy duty service. EP 2 GREASE has excellent water tolerance and is adaptable to normal grease dispensing systems including centralised lubrication systems.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

EP 2 GREASE is designed as multifunctional extreme pressure greases for prevention of wear, during usage at temperatures upto 130C. EP 2 GREASE can be used in plain and anti-friction bearings operating under high load conditions in various heavy duty industrial applications, steel mills, paper mills, heavy structural construction/fabrication industries, mining and automotive industries. EP 2 GREASE is also recommended for use in flexible type gear couplings.

VIGOR GRAPHITE GREASE

VIGOR Graphite Greaseis a quality, smooth, lithium soap based grease and fortified with the best known natural solid lubricant, graphite. Manufactured to NLGI 2 consistency, the grease provides the best combination of performance and economy for most applications. VIGOR Graphite Grease are resistant to water and have good mechanical stability.
The use of this grease will minimize wear through the use of the solid lubricant (graphite) and provide extended lubricant coverage due to even distribution of the product along the wearing parts. This also reduces the noise of the metal-joints by minimizing metal to metal contacts. It pumps ovr a wide temperature range and resists water washing.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

VIGOR Graphite Greaseis recommended for use in gears, cams and slides operating at temperatures ambient to 140C. This grease is recommended for use in hydraulic rams, plungers, slides, elevator cables, leaf springs, life guides, pantograph pans etc. These grease are also recommended for flexible couplings in various industrial applications where incidental water contact is high. The grease conforms to IS:508 (1987).

EP 3 GREASE EXTREME PRESSURE LITHIUM GREASE

EP 3 GREASE is first generation Lithium soap base grease containing extreme pressure [EP] additives for enhanced load bearing capacity. These greases are formulated with high quality paraffinic base oils and are fortified with balanced oxidation and rust inhibitors, as also EP additives. EP 3 GREASE possesses excellent shear stability under heavy duty service. EP 3 GREASE has excellent water tolerance and is adaptable to normal grease dispensing systems including centralised lubrication systems.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

EP 3 GREASE is designed as multifunctional extreme pressure greases for prevention of wear, during usage at temperatures upto 130C. EP 3 GREASE can be used in plain and anti-friction bearings operating under high load conditions in various heavy duty industrial applications, steel mills, paper mills, heavy structural construction/fabrication industries, mining and automotive industries. EP 3 GREASE is also recommended for use in flexible type gear couplings.
