Horizontal Cylindrical tanks  and  Rectangular Tanks  are usually designed within transportable dimensions and manufactured completely in the shop to be delivered in finished condition.  Also Vertical Cylindrical tanks within transportable dimensions are delivered fully finished.  Tanks with or without dished heads are manufactured depending on the design parameters as per  ASME Sec VIII Div 1,   API 650, AWWA D 100 , etc. Various sizes and configurations of Rectangular tanks are manufactured for Water and Sewage Treatment plants.  These include multiple tanks/compartments on a single skid.  Also STP/RO plants are fabricated and assembled for Water Treatment Equipment suppliers. Silos and Hoppers for different applications like Cement Plants, Crushers, Lime Stone, Steel plants, Grain Storage etc. are designed, manufactured and erected,   sometimes free standing on its own supporting structure.

nd Exhaust systems  are another specialty of FIS.  Intake Filter House ,  Transition Duct, Elbow Duct, Silencer and Straight Ducts, Exhaust Plenum, Upper and Lower transitions, Diffusers, Diverters and Stacks are undertaken based on client designs and drawings. FIS has wide experience in Site Erected Storage Tanks upto 48m dia.  These tanks are designed to API 650/620 or BS 2654.  FIS has full fledged Tank design and detailing facilities/resources in-house.   Tanks above 4 m dia are usually assembled and welded at site after plates are pre-fabricated and rolled in the shop.  Shell erection is usually by Hydraulic Jacks.  Welding could be either automatic or manual.  Associated piping, instrumentation and CP system supply and installation are also undertaken.  NDT, Hydro testing, Paint touch-up and over coats are also done at site.   Tanks are built for the following services: Crude Oil & associated Process Tanks Refined Product Tanks De-mineralized / Desalinated Water Tanks Chemical Tanks Fire Water Tanks Among other configurations, those below are the most common types designed, supplied and erected: Cone Roof Tanks – Self-supported and Column supported Floating Roof Tanks – Internal and External Dome roof Tanks – Including Aluminium Dome

FIS offers complete structural steel solutions starting from Design, Detailing, Procurement, Fabrication, Blasting, Coating, Delivery and Erection .  Design and construction of Structural steel is usually undertaken as per AISC or BS 5950 and client standards.  Other codes/standards can also be agreed upon if required.  Welding is carried out according to ASME Sec IX or AWS D 1.1. Steel detailing using advanced 3D modeling helps to avoid mistakes, interferences, delays etc. and assists site erection.  Use of CNC machines in fabrication highly enhances Productivity, and accuracy and reduces material wastage. Shop fabricated Pipe spools can be cost effectively done by automatic SAW welding process.  Fabcon today has developed the expertise to economically fabricate pipe spools upto 2000 mm diameter.  These spools may then be lined by GRE or coated by liquid epoxy. 

FIS has a long reputation for supply of Miscellaneous steel work like  Access Platforms, Vessel (circular) Platforms, Welded Frames, Ladders, Handrails, Misc Marine Steel work, etc. Heavy rolling machines are used for rolling of beams/channels/angles for circular platforms.  This ensures that the sections are rolled to the correct diameter and shape, and also avoids distortion of flanges/legs.  The crew is experienced in the layout fabrication of circular platforms.  Trial assembly is done to eliminate mistakes otherwise unearthed only during erection.  Marine / offshore steel work is another strength of Fabcon.  This type of work involves different materials and welding methods / positions and being extra heavy need heavy lifting and transporting equipment.  Being close to the Port facilitate load-out of oversize components by barges.
