Heavy rolling machinesare usedfor rolling of beams/channels/anglesfor circular platforms. This ensures that the sections are rolled to the correct diameter and shape, and also avoids distortion of flanges/legs. The crewis experienced in the layout fabrication of circular platforms. Trial assemblyisdone toeliminate mistakes otherwise unearthed only during erection.

Shop fabricated Pipe spools can be cost effectively done by automatic SAW welding process. Fabcon today has developed the expertise to economically fabricate pipe spools upto 2000 mm diameter. These spools may then be lined by GRE or coated by liquid epoxy.

The shop is fully geared for any type of plate work, be it Silos, Chutes, Furnaces or Hoppers. Oversize equipment are prefabricated at shop and delivered and erected at site. Insulation and Refractory work wherever required can be done in house.

Horizontal Cylindrical tanksandRectangular Tanksare usually designed within transportable dimensions and manufactured completely in the shop to be delivered in finished condition. Also Vertical Cylindrical tanks within transportable dimensions are delivered fully finished. Tanks with or without dished heads are manufactured depending on the design parameters as perASME Sec VIII Div 1, API 650, AWWA D 100, etc.

Various sizes and configurations of Rectangular tanks are manufactured for Water and Sewage Treatment plants. These include multiple tanks/compartments on a single skid. Also STP/RO plants are fabricated and assembled for Water Treatment Equipment suppliers.

Silos and Hoppers for different applications like Cement Plants, Crushers, Lime Stone, Steel plants, Grain Storage etc. are designed, manufactured and erected, sometimes free standingon itsown supporting structure.

FIS has wide experience in Site Erected Storage Tanks upto 48m dia. These tanks are designed to API 650/620 or BS 2654. FIS has full fledged Tank design and detailing facilities/resources in-house. Tanks above 4 m dia are usually assembled and welded at site after plates are pre-fabricated and rolled in the shop. Shell erection is usually by Hydraulic Jacks. Welding could be either automatic or manual. Associated piping, instrumentation and CP system supply and installation are also undertaken. NDT, Hydro testing, Paint touch-up and over coats are also done at site. Tanks are built for the following services:
