Here at Metropolitan, we manufacture wicket poly bags in accordance to our customers’ individualized specifications. Wicketed poly bags have a range of uses in many industries. A wicketed bag has 2 small holes that are hanging from 2 metal hooks and can be easily detached by pulling on the bag. Those bags are frequently used in high speed automatic packaging systems, semi-automatic bag openers or in manual production operations. We can produce wicketed bags in custom size wickets, custom print, size and gauge.

Bottom gusseted bags are pleated on the bottom of a side sealed bag. They are flat packed, and expand for increased capacity. We manufacture all sorts of bottom gusseted bags to customize our customers’ needs. Those types of bags are often used in the food industry like in packaging bread, tortillas and pita. When you place something in a gusseted bag you are squaring the bottom, eliminating the corners of the plastic bag that would otherwise stick out and look messy.

Tape closure bags are poly bags that have a strip of tape to secure the bag shut. We can customize the tape to be permanent ½” tape, for a one time seal. It is mostly used for security bags and packages for envelopes. We manufacture resealable tape closure bags as well, enabling the bag to be opened and closed numerous times. Reclosable tape poly bags come in a ¼ inch tape, and are typically used for payroll, deposits and shirt bags.

We can manufacture printed plastic bags per your custom specifications. We customize the bag size, thickness, film type and print. A one time plate charge, for new art, applies to the first order. The minimum order for a custom printed bag is generally 25, 000; the minimum quantity is subject to change if the bag is very small or very large.

Plain, unprinted plastic bags can be made to order according to your custom request, in thicknessgauge and in bag size. We can manufacture polyethylene, polypropylene, high density, OPP Polyproplynene and coextruded film. There is a minimum quantity for a custom size bag order; the minimum depends on the size and thickness of the bags. A price break is given on bigger quantities.

Die cut handle bags are side sealed bags that are open on top, similar to a shopping bag. They come with a die cut, oval shaped, hole on top of the bag for easy carrying. The advantage of this shaped hole is that it has perfect space for one’s finger to grasp the bags. We manufacture die cut handle bags in customized size, gauge and color for your individualized needs.
