Fibre Optic Overhead Group Wire Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) is used in power utility for dual function as a ground or static wire and a path for transmission of voice, video or data signals through optical fibres allowing for fast, reliable and cost effective installations. Fibres are placed in a central stainless steel tube with water-resistant jelly filling; it is inserted into an aluminium pipe which provided added crush protection and increasing the conductivity. Over it one or two layers of aluminium coated steel wire or aluminium wire or aluminium alloy wire are stranded, stranded wires are selected to optimize mechanical and electrical properties of cable. They have high tensile load, long span and high crush resistance. Their small diameter and light weight minimize load to the tower.
Two Core Flat Drop Cable for Fibre To The Home (FTTH) application, the cable is constructed with two single mode fibres protected by dielectric strength member made of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) strength member and LSZH outer jacket. It is very light in construction and easy to install, generally used for connecting main distribution frame to consolidation point in home, apartment or offices. Industry standard connectors can be used for direct termination because of standard 250m fibre size.

These cables are constructed bundling tight buffered simplex optical fibre in an outer jacket. Non metallic FRP strength members in the cable give it good tensile strength and electro- magnetic protection. It has small diameter, light weight and thick wall jacket protection, giving it versatile applications. It can be used in cable assemblies and places of high electro-magnetic interferences. Flexible and small bent radius ensures good performance against pressure. These simplex cables are individually reinforced with Aramid yarn so can be terminated without the need for breakout boxes, patch panel or junction boxes. Each fibre is mechanically reinforced with two successive sheaths of 400m and 900m which enables direct termination of connectors. Excellent strip force stability, fibre geometrical dimension and transmission performance meets the customer demand. Available in PVC, LSZH, Plenum outer sheath and tight buffer: 900m, 600m. The cable is specially designed for internal applications like floor distribution, interconnection and equipment connection.
These cables are constructed with a multiple tube filled with water blocking jelly giving very high fibre count up to 144 fibre stranded fibre optic cable, they form the backbone of high speed networks. They give flexibility and versatility to networks and can be used for duct applications. Non metallic FRP strength members in the cable give it good tensile strength, water blocking jelly in the tube and tape over the tube give it excellent water and moisture resistance. Double sided PE sheath cable gives more excellent tensile strength, mechanical, rodent, ultraviolet and environmental protection. They come in larger delivery length, so can also be used in long distance communication system, building interconnections, trunk lines, LAN, distribution networks.
