Galvanneal is a steel product with a zinc-iron alloy coating on the steel surface, produced by the continuous hot-dipping process. Achieving the required zinc coating thickness for different coating specifications is the result of passing the hot dipped strip through a variable low pressure, high volume air stream, from here, the strip enters a furnace and the heat converts the zinc coating to the zinc-iron alloy coating. There is no spangle, simply a grey matt appearance. If produced as Extra Smooth (skin passed or temper rolled).
