The MB-4DFO is a NEW sewing machine designed by Merrow to produce ActiveSeam. It is a two or three- thread premier industrial serger that sews three versions of the Merrow ActiveSeam. ActiveSeam is a NEW flat overlock stitch that provides anALTERNATIVE TO FLATLOCK, INTERLOCK AND OVERLOCK STITCHINGon sewn garments.The MB-4DFO sews all three variations of the ActiveSeam stitch. It was specifically developed to sew on base layer garments and the ActiveSeam family of stitches are flat, comfortable, and stretchable stitches that replace traditional flatlock seams. The MB-4DFO stitch width can be varied from 3/32" to 5/32" according to material properties and/or application requirements and is custom configured to sew specifically using customers' unique material and thread. Tension settings, eccentrics, and cutter placement are all adjusted to ensure that the customer receives a unique version of the ActiveSeam that is specific to their garment and application.The NEW MB-4DFO utilizes Merrow's unique barrel cam architecture and curved needles to sew more precisely and consistently than other sewing machines. Because the MB-4DFO sews with two needles, it has the versatility to sew three different stitches and with either two or three threads. The MB-4DFO is hand-built in the USA and all parts are integrally designed to ensure both stitch superiority and machine durability.

The Merrow MB-4DFO is used in cut and sew factories the world over to sew the ActiveSeam on technical fabrics and base layer garments. Merrow's worldwide network of authorized agents are trained in all aspects MB-4DFO service and installation.

The overlock machine is provided with a backlatching capability that eliminates the need for bartacking. The chain-off thread is tucked into the seam at the beginning of sewing to secure chain-off thread and prevent the finished seam from coming undone.

Since the machine comes with a needle-thread take-up mechanism as well as a looper thread take-up mechanism, to offer upgraded responsiveness from light- to heavy-weight materials with a lower applied tension, it achieves well-tensed softfeeling seams that flexibly correspond to the elasticity of the material at the maximum sewing speed of 8, 000 to 8, 500sti/min.

Chainstitch is continuously formed with a single thread and by a blind looper which eliminates the need for a bobbin thread refilling. In addition, the basted seam can be easily undone.

FBX series is a cylinder bed, 2-6 needle double chain stitch machine with needle feed.

APPLICATION

It is designed for sewing waistbands of medium heavy to heavy material such as jeans and working pants.
